Guert-Yann Saint-André

Presented during Paris Fashion Week in September, in a Parisian private mansion with a view of the Eiffel Tower, Collection 01 marks the launch of a project situated at the border between fashion, object and design.

Trained at the Design Academy Eindhoven , Guert-Yann Saint-Andre developed an approach to clothing inherited from design: fashion is no longer thought of as just clothing, but as an object in space .

The collection brings together fifteen pieces : nine ready-to-wear silhouettes, two bags, two pieces of furniture – a table and a lamp – as well as a hairstyle and a pastry designed as extensions of the project's universe.

Each piece explores the relationship between body, structure, and volume .

The coats feature architectural lines and sculptural shoulders, while the trousers develop geometric volumes. The objects extend this formal logic into the domestic space.

The main materials include virgin wool, wool and cashmere, calfskin leather and aluminum . The furniture also introduces solid cast concrete , notably a table weighing approximately 150 kg , asserting a strong architectural presence in the space.

One of the central pieces of the collection is a bag combining leather and aluminum . Situated at the boundary between accessory and sculpture, it embodies the ambiguity sought by the designer between functional object and design object.

The collection is produced to order in the designer's workshop located at the Trocadero in Paris , built after three years of work in order to bring together the know-how necessary to carry out the project.

Around him, Guert-Yann Saint-Andre has built a team of collaborators from major fashion houses and luxury craftsmen, bringing together skills in sewing, pattern making and leather goods .

Collection 01 thus offers a formal language where fashion, object and furniture interact within the same system.
